Escheresque

Square Dance

I wanted to make something bright and cheerful for T. in his new house, and I’ve been wanting to try this Square Dance pattern by Martha Thompson that S. gave me for a while now, so I decided to make a cushion cover. This is the going to be the front, and I think I’ll quilt it as well before assembling it.

I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out – it looks more complicated to do than it really was. It reminds me of the M. C. Escher drawings I used to love as a child.
